Noma Produce Marketing Company Limited is a private limited liability company incorporated on 15th November 2006 to support the Nigerian agricultural sector to over come its tripartite challenges of Market Access, Pricing and Storage. Improving access to markets for agricultural producers is crucial for developing a country’s agricultural sector. Farmers need to be assured that whatever they produce will be bought up by the organized private sector, government or the consuming public at appropriate pricing that would guarantee a reasonable return. In terms of Storage, it is estimated that each year between 30-40% of Nigeria’s agricultural products are lost because of inadequate storage facilities. A proven tool for overcoming these obstacles is the creation of an organized Commodity Marketing Company.
